CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - A family hosted a celebration of life for their loved one, who is a victim of an unsolved Charleston homicide case from March 2025.

Everett “Lee” Stover, 67, was found dead at 66 1/2 Street on March 4 , according to Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal. Officials say that his skeletal remains were found in the backyard of a vacant Lee Street home near the intersection of Nassau Street.

The homeowner came to check out the property, which has been vacant since 2019, which led to them finding the remains.

Stover’s family and friends came together to celebrate his life, but are also hoping to shed light on this unsolved homicide case as the family is desperate for answers.
