PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) -- This weekend's expected coastal storm is drawing mixed reactions from Rhode Islanders.
Rainfall and winds are expected to happen throughout Sunday, with the strongest gusts anticipated from Sunday night into Monday.
Local officials are urging residents to be prepared ahead of the storm.
"Just make sure that you got things secured or leave them indoors if not, because there's a risk that they could blow around, hurt someone or get tangled up in the power lines, so that's one thing," Rhode Island Energy President Greg Cornett told 12 News. "The second thing is for folks to just monitor social media, monitor the weather, be prepared, get your storm kit ready, have your phones charged."
