LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - We will see another beautiful night around the area as temperatures drop into the 50s under clear skies. Sunday will start out pleasant and sunny but temperatures rise fast. By lunchtime, we will reach 80 degrees and in the afternoon near 90. Skies remain free of most cloud cover.
The tropics have settled some as Tropical Storm Jerry has become a non-tropical low and is no longer being tracked by the Hurricane Center. A tropical wave in the Atlantic south and west of the Cape Verde Islands has a medium chance of development over the next week as it moves west and then northward.
Our local weather remains fairly unchanged with pleasant mornings and afternoons hot near 90. Humidity returns to the area by midweek with a few rain chances sneaking back into the picture
