Southern football fell to Bethune-Cookman 45-14 on Saturday at Daytona Stadium in Daytona Beach, Florida. Here are our takeaways from the game:

Incorrect quarterback change

Coach Terrence Graves made another change at quarterback. He re-inserted Cam’Ron McCoy after Ashton Strother commanded the offense the previous game. While the move was likely decided over a couple of weeks' worth of practices, the Jaguars should’ve given Strother another chance because he’s a more reliable pocket passer. McCoy struggled following a promising start with a 66-yard touchdown toss. Strother entered too late at the end of the third quarter and instantly made snappy decisions that moved the Jaguars down the field.
