Scattered showers and storms have been moving across most of New Mexico this afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rainfall along and west of the Rio Grande Valley. Areas in southwestern Colorado have seen significant amounts of rainfall as well throughout the day today.

Rain chances continue into Sunday morning’s Mass Ascension with slightly breezy winds off the ground. The remnants of Tropical Storm Raymond will move into southern New Mexico Sunday, bringing heavy rainfall and a threat of flash flooding to southwestern parts of the state. Rain chances will continue across the rest of the state, except for northeast New Mexico.
