Penn State quarterback Drew Allar will miss the remainder of the season, according to head coach James Franklin.

Allar, who is from Medina, exited Saturday's game against Northwestern with an injury late in the fourth quarter.

"Drew will be done for the year," Franklin said in his postgame press conference.

The injury occurred on the penultimate play of the game when Allar was rushing to try and get a first down. He got crushed by a Northwestern defender and laid motionless. It appears to be a left leg injury but Franklin did not provide any more specifics.

The senior has suited up in 45 games for Penn State over the past four years, racking up 7,402 passing yards, 61 passing touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
