Four people have died in a mass shooting at a crowded bar in the US.

At least 20 more have also been injured, with four of those fighting of their lives, following the horrific incident in the state of South Carolina.

Local officials said the incident occurred in the early hours of this morning (Sunday, October 12) at Willie’s Bar and Grill on St Helena Island.

A large crowd was at the scene when emergency services arrived and found several people with gunshot wounds.
