PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- A woman has died after she was struck by a falling tree on Sunday, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

Police said officers responded at 2 p.m. to reports of an injured person in the 2000 block of Avalon Place, where a woman was found trapped under a tree.

She was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said her identity will not be released.
