(KRON) -- It was a beautiful day in San Francisco this weekend with thousands of people flocking to the city for Fleet Week events, a Diplo run and a concert at Golden Gate Park. The sun was out, but that will change to begin the work week.
Rain is set to hit San Francisco and the greater Bay Area on Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The agency said showers will hit the region on Monday and Tuesday; rain will "begin to taper off" on Wednesday.
There will also be a "good chance" of thunderstorms between Monday and Tuesday in the Bay Area. A map posted by the NWS suggests about a 25% probability of thunder.
