CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A person was shot and killed inside a strip mall in north Charlotte on Sunday evening.
The Oct. 12 shooting happened just after 7 p.m. in the Stewart Creek Crossing shopping center on .
When Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers arrived, they found a male with a gunshot wound. Despite first responders trying to save him, he died at the scene.
the person was inside a business when he was shot, and seemed to have been investigating in the Wingstop. A police official said the person killed was not an employee of the business, and that the shooting was “possibly” the result of a robbery attempt.
It was not immediately clear if any arrests had been made.
As of early Monday morning, police had not yet released the victim’s name.
