MUNCIE, Ind. -- A Muncie woman has been taken into custody after she reportedly cut a nurse with a steak knife and bit her during an altercation in late September.

According to court documents recently filed in Delaware County, 29-year-old Mykia Davis has been preliminarily charged with: • One count of aggravated battery, a Level 3 felony • One count of battery committed with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony • One count of intimidation with a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony • One count of strangulation, a Level 5 felony.

On Sept. 28, officers from the Muncie Police Department were transported to a local hospital in reference to a reported battery. When officers arrived, they spoke with a woman, identified as a help-at-home nurse who was taking care of a client at an apartment.
