SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (Gray News) – Two children are in critical condition after going on a hike with their dad in Utah.
According to the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday, a 31-year-old man set off for a hike on Broads Fork Trail with his three children, ages 2, 4 and 8.
The family was later reported missing after not returning on time.
Deputies said they found the family’s vehicle still in the parking lot near the trail.
First responders found the family Sunday morning.
All four were taken to local hospitals. Two of the children are in critical condition. The third child was reported to be in stable condition, and the dad was said to be in “fair” condition.
The sheriff’s office said it is still investigating.
Officials haven’t said if any foul play was involved. More
