WASHINGTON — Lay's is undergoing a makeover as the company moves toward showcasing its potatoes.

PepsiCo announced that Lay's would undergo the largest brand redesign in Lay's 100-year history. The revamp will introduce a new logo and design to the classic potato chips and some of its other flavors, while also removing artificial flavors and colors in the U.S. by the end of 2025.

The new logo has "warmer and more distinct" sun rays beaming out from the red Lay's ribbon. Each bag will have the text "Made with Real Potatoes" under the flavor.

The addition comes after Lay's cited a study stating that "42% of people who enjoy Lay's don't realize they're made with real, farm-grown potatoes."
