Drivers in Lehigh County should prepare for lane restrictions and potential delays as PennDOT begins multiple road work projects this week.

The most significant work involves construction on Interstate 78 East between Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Exit 60 (Route 309) in Allentown, Salisbury, and Upper Saucon townships. Lane restrictions will be in effect nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday, with delays expected. Rain may cause additional delays for this project, which is being completed by a PennDOT contractor.
