LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- A male suspect is now in police custody after a motorcycle pursuit in Blackman Township Saturday afternoon, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Police say a deputy attempted to pull over a motorcycle in the area of N Elm Avenue and Rosehill Road at around 1:09 p.m., but instead, the motorcycle continued to drive, heading south on Elm Avenue.

Law enforcement later found the motorcycle on the ground at the dead end of N Dwight Street.

After locating the motorcycle, police set up a perimeter and called a state police K-9 unit for help tracking the suspect down.

The K-9 later located the backpack the suspect had on and his shirt. After this, one of the deputies spotted the suspect.

Police say MSP tazed him and arrested him, taking him to the hospital
