There are certain types of foods that can only be found at fall fairs, and they are one of the reasons that draw people back year after year.

Rain fell on the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show over the noon hour on Saturday, sending fairgoers scurrying for cover, many with their fair food in hand.

Seeking shelter beneath the grandstand, Emily Cartmel of Scotland and her family enjoyed a variety of offerings from the food trucks.

“I’ve been coming to the fair for about 25 years. It’s pretty much the food, that’s why I come,” Cartmel shared. “I’m a corn dog fan, and the fajitas are really good too. The kids like the chicken fingers, and of course, the mini donuts.”
