New Sarnia-area real estate listings kept coming in September.

There were 354 new listings last month, compared to 256 in August and 333 in July, according to the Sarnia-Lambton Association of Realtors. Year-to-date, new listings in the area are up more than nine per cent.

The number of active listings in September was “historically high” at 645, said association president Jeremy Guerette.

There were 145 sales in September, and local year-to-date sales were up nearly six per cent compared to the same month in 2024.

“There are sales coming through, so that’s good, but, basically, I think it’s competitive out there,” he said. “Buyers have more to choose from and they don’t have to rush, necessarily, on making their decision.”
