BOISE, Idaho — A plane was diverted to the Boise Airport on Tuesday morning after a passenger allegedly assaulted crew members mid-flight. She was subsequently arrested.

Tracy Barkhimer, 61, of White Salmon, Washington, was arrested on two counts of battery after she "was showing erratic behavior and struck two airline employees who were attempting to calm her down," according to the Boise Police Department.

The incident occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. Officers with the department's airport division were notified a flight was being diverted to the Boise Airport after a battery had happened on board, police said.

Barkhimer was restrained during the flight. Police said after the plane landed, both victims signed affidavits for a citizen's arrest.
