Charges have been laid over the death of teen cowboy Jimmy Webster .

The 14-year-old rising star in Australia’s horse-riding community was the passenger in a horse truck, when it crashed with a semi-trailer and a tractor on the Kamilaroi Hwy near Wee Waa, about two-and-a-half hours northwest of Tamworth about 3pm on August 17.

An unidentified member of the public provided first aid to Jimmy before paramedics arrived, but he could not be saved and died on the rural NSW highway.

The horse that was being transported in the horse truck was also euthanised due to its injuries.

The drivers of the three-vehicles involved were not injured, and all taken for mandatory testing.
