A teacher has claimed he was let go from his teaching job after being "snitched on" for putting up Union Jacks all over his hometown.
Shaun Remmer, 49, a teaching assistant, has said he adored his dream job until his life completely changed last month.
The father-of-one said he had been putting up British and other flags around Thirsk in York in what he describes as a "symbol" of "unity" of the United Kingdom.
Mr Remmer said in total he calculates he has hung up around 150 flags in the small town, claiming many residents have actually welcomed his "decorations."
