Nearly 100 years after the first woman began practicing law in the area, Mobile County’s courts look different. Not only are women now prevalent in the legal field, but they’re presiding over the courts as well.

The Mobile judiciary currently features its largest-ever composition of women, with the contingent holding 13 offices serving municipal, district, circuit, state and federal courts.
