NORWOOD, New York (WWNY) - Voters in the Norwood-Norfolk Central School District overwhelmingly approved millions of dollars in repairs and upgrades to the school district’s buildings and grounds Tuesday.
The $21.3 million project was approved 130-29.
The money will be used for what district officials have described as critical repairs across the district, including the replacement of outdated equipment and infrastructure and modernizing athletic space.
The project will be paid for with $3 million from district reserves and the other $18 million through bonding, with the state reimbursing 98 percent of the cost of the project.
The project is not expected to raise taxes.
