MADISON (WKOW) — The iconic Memorial Union Terrace's 2025 season will conclude on Oct. 27 as the 2,000 colorful chairs begin to disappear at 8 a.m. This marks the end of another year of outdoor entertainment and dining.
Terrace season, which began on April 18 this year, features free concerts, outdoor recreation, and various art activities. It attracts around 1 million visitors annually, according to a press release.
"The Terrace is a place where people connect, relax and celebrate," said Wisconsin Union Deputy Director Susan Dibbell. She encouraged the community to enjoy the remaining days of the season.
While the Terrace closes, the Wisconsin Union will continue to offer dining and events indoors, including the Winter Carnival. Dining options include der Rathskeller, Strada, and more.
