TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - On Tuesday morning, the Tucson Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in midtown Tucson.
According to TFD, firefighters responded to a report of a commercial fire near Craycroft Road and 22nd Street around 7:48 a.m. on Oct. 15.
Within four minutes, the Engine 9 crew arrived to the scene and reported smoke and fire coming out from a first-floor apartment.
Ladder 9 crews safely evacuated tenants from the second floor and checked the area for any fire spread, TFD said.
The fire was contained to one vacant apartment, and was under control by 8:08 a.m.
TFD reported no injuries in the incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
