The rain is gone, but the mud remains.
Southeastern coastal Massachusetts had 6-9 inches of rainfall, and the ground will be quite spongy for a while. This 3-day rainfall might have put an end to our drought, but only in those locations, so stay tuned for the drought map update to come out Thursday morning.

As we dry off, the wind picks up and gusts of 20-30 mph from the northwest will dry us off. Clouds and a few sprinkles are possible as a weak and dry cold front moves through.
The wind subsides a bit tonight as lows drop to the 30s and 40s.
