COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is seeking more information after suspects have been allegedly shooting victims with paintball guns.

The incidents have been occurring in the Two Notch/Northeast part of Richland County.

In one incident, a victim said she was putting her child into the backseat of her car when she was shot by what she initially believed to be a BB gun, the incident report said.

Upon further investigation, she reportedly discovered a powdery pink substance on her bottom, indicating that she was struck by a paintball, according to documents

Investigators with the sheriff’s department are asking more victims to come forward, especially if you have been shot at or hit by a paintball gun in the past 48 hours.
