BISMARCK, N.D. (KUMV) - North Dakota’s task force on government efficiency is meeting later this week to discuss reviewing state budgets. The Department of Commerce will be the primary focus of this meeting.

The task force will hear from commerce staff about the returns from various programs.

During the last legislative session, some lawmakers say they felt tourism funding and support for bringing in immigrants to work were not providing enough benefits.

Katie Ralston Howe, the director of workforce development, says she believes the department is working towards the state’s workforce strategies.
