MINOT, ND (KXNET) — This week, a local road is closing due to construction just outside of the Target store at the Dakota Square Mall. The intersection of 24th Avenue Southwest and Mall Loop Road in Minot is temporarily blocked off as crews repave and rebuild the intersection in the coming days.

City leaders say that drivers can use a detour route through 15th Street Southwest and 22nd Avenue Southwest in the meantime. The construction is part of the ongoing Puppy Dog Coulee project, which focuses on revamping storm sewers throughout the City of Minot.
