ATLANTA — Beloved Ponce meat-and-three Eats is closing its doors on Saturday, October 18th . And diners, both current regulars and patrons from long ago, have rushed there in the last two weeks to get their last plate of Eats' famous jerk chicken. Customers and employees both told 11Alive that the line has wrapped around the building almost constantly since the announcement of its closing nearly two weeks ago.
Ironically, a lack of foot traffic is what is prompting owner Bob Hatcher to close shop.
"After COVID, business went down for a lot of people," Hatcher said. "Nothing stays the same quite about the neighborhood," he commented, noting the sprawling Ponce City Market and Pottery Barn across the street and lamenting the various lane closures along Ponce de Leon Ave., which caused de
