Human remains have been discovered in Victoria’s West Gippsland region during a renewed search for missing woman Lucinda Miller, exactly three years after she was last seen.

The 24-year-old vanished on October 16, 2022, after being dropped off by a rideshare driver on McDougal Road around 11.30am.

Despite extensive searches at the time, police were unable to locate any trace of her.

This week, Victoria Police returned to the Neerim South area, focusing on dense bushland roughly three kilometres from the original search zone.

After three days of coordinated operations, the search team made a grim discovery.

"Police have located human remains during the search for missing woman Lucinda in Neerim South," a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
