An Australian accused of scouting out a half-botched Balinese hit job was “no mastermind” at all, his lawyer says, and instead thought he was “on holiday”.
Darcy Francesco Jenson, 27, stands accused of involvement in an alleged pre-meditated murder alongside Australians Midolmore Pasa Tupou, 27, and Mevlut Coskun, 22.
The trio will go to trial after Australian Zivan ‘Stipe’ Radmanovic, 35, was gunned dead in a Munggu villa, south Bali, on June 14 while his mate, Sanar Ghanim, was rushed to hospital for a heavily injured leg.
Police remain curious as to who ordered the alleged execution.
Jenson is accused of staking out the crime scene - having been in Bali since April - transporting his co-accused, and purchasing a hammer used to break into the villa.
