Animal rescuers see many cases of neglect and abandonment, but some are so extreme they stay with you forever.

When kindhearted passersby noticed a battered cardboard box on a rural road in Missouri and looked inside, they were stunned to find thirty tiny puppies huddled together.

The team at Wright-Way Rescue , an Illinois-based organization, could hardly believe what they saw. They had handled many rescue operations before, but never one involving this many abandoned puppies at once.
