Downtown Belleville is set to sparkle with community spirit on Sunday, Oct. 19, as the community comes together to celebrate Diwali, the “Festival of Lights” and Canadian Food Expo from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Market Square. “Our goal is to celebrate peacefully and joyfully — bringing light, culture, and connection to Downtown Belleville without the use of fireworks or anything that could cause concern,” said Hardik Patel, Diwali Committee lead organizer.
