Utica city officials recently gathered with members of the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce to dedicate a pickleball court complex at Grant Park.
The development of the complex on Hahn Street, a few blocks north of Hall Road, was fully financed by Jars Cannabis at a cost “in excess of $100,000, city officials said.
Mayor Gus Calandrino called the development a “huge win” for Utica.
“Jars has been very generous to our community from the day they opened the doors of their dispensary,” he said. “They sponsored our Weekend Unwind concert series this summer and co-sponsored the fireworks at our Christmas event. They run a good business here in Utica.”
