This afternoon drier and cooler air has already funneled into the state and southwest Colorado. Over the course of just 24 hours dew points in Alamosa and Cortez have dropped by more than 30 degrees. At the 12 p.m. they sit in the mid to upper teens. Aside from sunshine and a few clouds across the state this afternoon, drier conditions are in place for most. There is chance for showers and storms in eastern counties later this afternoon and evening as cold front slides through the region.
Overnight, colder temperatures will settle into northern and western counties. A few cities may see their first freeze of the season with clear skies and calm winds.
