[DES MOINES, Iowa] — Jeff Kaufmann, the Iowa GOP Chairman, is now leading a significant group within the Republican National Committee.

Kaufmann said President Trump and RNC Chairman Joe Gruters selected him to head the Presidential Nominating Process Committee.

This committee will determine if Iowa Republicans retain their first-in-the-nation status.

Previously, Kaufmann chaired the committee in 2024 when President Trump was nominated and won a second term.
