The Conewago Valley School District in Adams County announced all schools and administrative buildings will be closed on Friday due to a boil water advisory.

A statement on the school district’s website said the following:

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Conewago Valley School District will be closed Friday, Oct. 17, 2025. This is due to the boil water advisory within New Oxford.”

The district said it hopes the issues are quickly resolved so classes can start as regularly scheduled by Monday, Oct. 20.

The statement also noted that Friday’s closure is in place for all buildings within the district.

New Oxford High School’s Friday night home football game against Warwick Senior High School will still take place, the district said. Band night will also be held.
