A banned Renfrewshire driver who was caught behind the wheel while disqualified on three separate occasions in two days has avoided jail .

Alison Gibson, of Elderslie, was convicted after a trial at Paisley Sheriff Court. Gibson was found guilty of driving while disqualified on various Renfrewshire roads on three separate occasions in March last year.

Gibson had claimed during the trial that members of her family had launched a "conspiracy" to get her "into trouble". However, the 61-year-old was found guilty of driving a yellow Jeep on Clippens Road and Bridge of Weir Road in Linwood on March 4, 2024, the Paisley Daily Express reports .

On March 5, Gibson again got behind the wheel of the Jeep as a disqualified driver - and was again caught driving on Bridge of Weir Road in Linwoo
