CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Mega Millions lottery continues to evade an overall winner, allowing the jackpot to increase to $625 million for the drawing on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025.
“It’s been more than three months since the last jackpot was won and that’s always exciting because it means a big, big jackpot,” Joshua Johnston, lead director for the Mega Millions Consortium, said in a statement. “On Friday, someone has a chance to win $625 million, which is life-changing money.”
The previous Mega Millions winner was sold on June 27, a $348 million prize in Virginia. The odds of winning with a single ticket are 1-in-290,472,336.
