NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Friday is senior night at Fox Creek High School, a celebration of young athletes and their families.

But for one family, just being on the field is a miracle.

Three months ago, senior football player Riley Howell faced a life-threatening brain cyst that nearly ended everything. , Now he’s back on the field, carrying something heavier than the weight of expectation.

“I’m thankful to God to give me an opportunity to be here, really,” Riley said.
