SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - If you are looking to celebrate Halloween a little early, the Potawatomi Zoo is hosting “Zoo Boo!”

The event started on Friday, and it will continue for the rest of this weekend as well as next weekend.

Each weekend is themed with costumed characters roaming around the zoo.

This weekend, the theme is “Princesses and Heroes” while next weekend will be “Witches and Wizardry.”

The zoo is also decorated with pumpkins, lights and decorations.

You can come and trick or treat at the vendors, enjoy seeing the animals, and ride the haunted train and enchanted carousel.

The hours are 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event will occur on both weekends rain or shine.
