If you're looking for ghouls, goblins and a terrifying haunted house experience this Halloween, Fair Oaks Fright Night is a local must-see.

Built entirely by two neighbors and their families, the elaborate walk-through haunt, which is free, will be open to the public on Oct. 25, 26, 30, and 31, from dusk to 10 p.m. at 560 Fair Oaks Dr. in Orcutt.

Despite its popularity and a growing professional look, creators Jason and Bill, who asked that their last names not be used, are just two local friends who started a passion project in their neighborhood.

Both are members of the punk band Hostile Takedown, and both spend months building the attraction for the community.
