The first construction academy cohort of the Connecticut Center for Arts and Technology (ConnCAT) is preparing to graduate.
A group of nine men and women will be receiving their certificates on Saturday during a graduation ceremony scheduled at 4 Science Park.

Aaron Kirk, Robert Kimble and Jose Suarez are three of the men who participated and completed the program.
The three come from different backgrounds, but said they have become like a family over the 22-week program.
“I feel accomplished, very grateful and just proud of myself and my classmates,” Kirk said.
