Caltrans is reminding motorists of various lane closures in multiple locations along State Route 49 (SR 49) and State Route 174 (SR 174) as several projects continue in Placer and Nevada counties.

Both directions between Race Street and Empire Mine Road, one-way reversing traffic control is scheduled from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, October 20 through Friday, October 24.

The extended lane closures will help to minimize the duration of the work and improve workers’ safety. Motorists may experience delays between 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic volumes. The schedule is subject to change or be delayed due to weather, availability of materials or other unexpected events.
