PROVIDENCE − Critics of President Donald Trump gathered in the thousands at the Rhode Island State House on Saturday, Oct. 18, for the latest "No Kings" protest against the current administration.

The Providence rally was the largest "No Kings" event planned across the state and joined similar events across the country in what organizers hoped would be the largest protest in American history. Organizers estimated Saturday's turnout at the State House at 32,000.

In June, thousands gathered around Rhode Island for a similar "No Kings" event .

The "No Kings" movement was started by the group Indivisible and organized by a coalition of left-leaning political activist groups opposed to Trump administration policies.
