BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Despite unpleasant weather, the undefeated North Dakota State Bison remained so with a 38-7 win over the Indiana State Sycamores.
The Bison sputtered out of the gate, but rebounded with a dominant second half. NDSU closed the game with 38 unanswered points and outscored the Sycamores 28-0 in the latter half of the game.
As if a lackluster first half of football for the Bison wasn’t bad enough, NDSU also lost defensive tackle Jaxon Duttenhefer. It was a scary moment as a stretcher was needed to carry the Mandan native off the field. Thankfully, Duttenhefer eventually returned to the stadium on his feet.
The Bison also lost Mekhi Collins to a foot injury in the first half. Collins also did not return.
