The Nov. 4 ballot will include a reimposition of the 1% Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax for Clayton County.

If approved, the previous tax will be terminated and will be in use for about six years or 24 calendar quarters.

The total amount that the tax will raise is $412,791,335.00.

The new tax will introduce several county-wide improvements.

The cities of Forest Park, Jonesboro, Riverdale, Morrow, Lake City, College Park and Lovejoy will also receive money for improvements.

If the reimposition of the tax is approved, it will constitute the approval of the issuance of the general obligation debt. Clayton County SPLOST to go on November ballot
