A mother from Peterborough is calling for a reversal of the NHS ’s medicines watchdog, NICE, decision not to approve the "groundbreaking" brain cancer drug for use on the NHS. Taylor Pepper said the drug vorasidenib would give her more time with her young daughter, Ava.
Vorasidenib helps to delay invasive treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy, preserve independence, and spend more time with loved ones for patients with IDH-mutant low-grade glioma. The decision has been described as "a crushing blow" to people living with the brain tumour.
