After decades of drift — and some degree of grift — under predominantly (though not exclusively) Liberal governments, Canada has deteriorated into a nation grounded in illusion and self-congratulation. We have an embarrassment of sentiment and attention-seeking, but an alarming shortage of strength. The most recent example of this on the international stage was Mr. Carney’s last-minute trip to Egypt to celebrate a ceasefire he harmed more than helped.

In 2025, as much of the world re-arms against rising instability, Canada remains locked in a sanctimonious bureaucratic trance — paying lip service to what it no longer has the capacity to defend. In Liberal Canada, we no longer deter; we dialogue, but we don’t deliver.
