A powerful cold front will sweep across central Pennsylvania today, bringing gusty winds and potentially severe rain showers with a slight tornado risk in the Lower Susquehanna Valley.

The National Weather Service warns residents to expect wind gusts up to 60 mph and rain showers developing late this afternoon through early evening.

The storm system will move from west to east, with the most intense weather expected between 7 p.m. and midnight. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated, isolated areas could experience brief, damaging wind gusts and a very low chance of a weak tornado.
